About the event
Hold onto your fins folks because the Niagara Divers’ Association is holding their annual Shipwrecks Symposium on April 1st in Welland. This shindig has killer presentations lined up. Jill Heinerth is going to talk about how a Newfoundland community helped stimulate American civil rights (who knew shipwrecks could be so political?) and her dive on a recently-uncovered WWII bomber. David Trotter is going to share the story of two brothers and their two shipwrecks. And let’s not forget Kayla Martin’s mooring guide. But that's just the beginning. They've got fancy multimedia presentations and everything. It's like a TED talk, but wetter.
So, if you're a shipwreck aficionado or just really love getting wet and wild, head on over to Centennial High School in Welland, Ontario. They’ll have padded seating, free parking, and personal name tags because they don't want you to get lost in the sea of shipwreck enthusiasts.
