About the event
Dive Penetanguishene Shipwrecks in Southern Georgian Bay with AquaSub. Christian Island and surrounding area of southern Georgian Bay in Lake Huron is a favourite destination for beginner and advanced divers alike, thanks to its crystal clear waters and close proximity of a number of old shipwrecks, many of great historical value. Most of these shipwrecks date back a century or more, like the Marquette (1867), the Mapledawn (1924), and the Michigan (1843). Come dive the 3 Ms with us!
Diving is aboard Georgian Explorer’s comfortable boat, The Explorer. Dive sites include but are not limited to: Maple Dawn, Lottie Wolf, Thomas Cranage, The Michigan, and The Marquette.
We depart Cedar Point at the Christian Island Ferry Dock at 8:00 AM.
This is a three dive charter featuring the Mapledawn (20ft), Michigan (15ft) and Marquette (35ft) unless mother nature moves us to an alternate site.
This charter includes a light breakfast and a hot lunch between dives 2 and 3.
You will need:
- two or three tanks depending on your gas consumption - most divers are good with two tanks.
- your full scuba kit including your weights (rental equipment is available and must be booked prior to the dive day)
Price: $205/diver, including HST
Number of days: 1
